Zagreb voted Europe’s best Christmas market

Zagreb has been voted “Best Christmas Market” for the second consecutive year.

Over 188,000 people voted in the poll, which was organised by travel website “Europe’s Best Destinations”.

Zagreb was triumphant, receiving 33,607 votes, while Strasbourg came in second place with 19,242 votes. Also in the running were London, Tallinn, Brussels, Prague, Lille, Budapest, and Helsinki, among others.

The Croatian capital’s Christmas market will run until 8 January 2017.
