Russia-born Sasha Rudensky has lived most of her life in the US. In a range of projects about the new east, she combines personal insight with the detachment of an outsider. Her recent photo series Eastern Eve is an exploration of contemporary femininity in Russia and eastern Europe. Rudensky is also an assistant professor of photography at Wesleyan University.
