Address

“When I was a child, there was only one way you could make friend with someone from another country: to write a letter to a school, not addressed to anyone, send it and wait in the hope that someone will answer it,” says Julia Borissova. After the Russian photographer discovered one such unfinished letter, she decided to continue it as a photo book. Through archive photographs, collages and drawings, Borissova takes us on a tour of the St Petersburg she remembers from childhood. Address is a personal letter to her future self.

Address is available form the artist’s website.
