Sketches from top Russian fashion designers published in new book

24 September 2013

A collection of exclusive sketches by renowned Russian fashion designers have been published in a new book out this month. The book, Fashion Sketches, has been curated by fashion journalist Katerina Polozhentseva and is dedicated to Russian fashion talent, in particular 26 designers who she believes have helped shape the industry.

The 26 profiles include St Petersburg native Alena Akhmadullina, best known for her timeless designs; Lesya Paramonova, founder of the ethereal and often whimsical brand LES (forest in Russian); and Valentin Yudashkin, a veteran of the industry whose work has been showcased in museums around the world including the Louvre in Paris. The book contains profiles of each designer along with interviews and their sketches.
