The music video for Hozier’s “Take Me To Church”, starring Ukrainian-born ballet dancer Sergei Polunin, has gone viral. The four-minute-long video, directed by American photographer David LaChapelle, has received more than 3.3 million hits since being uploaded onto YouTube on Tuesday this week.
In the clip, the tattooed ballerino, dressed in nude pants, is shown dancing in an empty studio ensconced in a green forest.
Born in Kherson in southern Ukraine, Polunin moved to London at the age of 13 to study at the Royal Ballet School in London, and became the company’s youngest ever principal dancer in 2010 at the age of 21.
