Hungarian photographer wins prize at Sony World Photographer award

Hungarian photographer János M. Schmidt has won second prize in the Sony World Photographer international mobile photo competition for his picture taken at Budapest’s Nyugati pályaudvar train station. The image, which depicts a Bucharest-bound train departing from the Budapest train station, was selected by a five-member jury.

Italian photographer Turi Calafato won first prize for his picture of a couple by the seaside, with third prize going to Iranian photographer Ako Salemi.
