Designer Tatyana Parfionova and ballerina Diana Vishneva team up for photography series

A joint project between St Petersburg fashion designer Tatyana Parfionova and dancer Diana Vishneva, entitled Twenty, is now on display at the Mariinsky Theatre to celebrate the 20th anniversary of both women in their careers. Fashion photographer Carlo Giorgi and Parfionova collaborated with Vishneva, the principal dancer with both the Mariinsky Ballet and the American Ballet Theatre, to create the special series of original photographs on the intersection of fashion and art.

Vishneva was the muse for an earlier photography series by French photographer Patrick Demarchelier at Moscow’s Multimedia Art Museum in 2012, Diana Vishneva through the Lens of Patrick Demarchelier.

The photo exhibition will be held at the Mariinsky Theatre until 12 May.
