Science and technology film festival opens tomorrow in Moscow

20 October 2015

The International Contemporary Science Film Festival 360° opens tomorrow in Moscow, bringing documentary films, discussions and lectures about science and technology to the Russian capital.

Now in its fifth year, this edition of the festival will be the first to cover not only science, but also technology. In addition to screenings of more than 25 documentaries, a host of keynote speakers will host public talks, while attendees will also be able to enjoy Q&A panels and debates.

Besides the competition and special screening programmes, three screening series will take on specific subjects: “Old Age Joy” will feature films on the use of technology in the lives of elderly people, “Around the Cosmos” will focus on space, while films in “Forgotten Future” will address the future of our planet.

The festival is organised by the Polytechnic Museum, the largest technical museum in Russia, and Beat Films, an agency that focusses on documentary films.

The International Contemporary Science Film Festival 360° will take place at six locations around Moscow from 21 – 29 October. The full programme and information regarding tickets can be found on the festival website.
