Czech and Slovak Christmas film special screening in London

On Sunday 6 December, London-based film club Velvet 4 Film is presenting a double bill of traditional Christmas films from the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Hosted by Hive Dalston, the Christmas programme features Juraj Jakubisko’s The Feather Fairy (1980) and Jan Hřebejk’s Cosy Dens (1999). The Feather Fairy is a classic story of people’s desire for love and happiness while Cosy Dens is the bittersweet coming-of-age story of several families in the lead-up to the Russian invasion of Czechoslovakia in August 1968.
Velvet 4 Film is a new film club, specialising in central European cinema.
