British Council Ukraine and Liverpool Biennial have launched a new artistic residency programme, which aims to connect artists from Ukraine and Liverpool.

The first stage of the programme is a call for Ukraine-based artists seeking to spend an artistic residency of up to 8 weeks in Liverpool, curated by the Liverpool Biennial team.

The 2016 residency takes on the theme “Imagined Worlds”, in line with the Biennial as a whole, which is organised as a story narrated in several episodes across fictional worlds sited in various spaces across the city. The project organisers are calling in particular for artists interested in the potential of imagined worlds, and who wish to spend time in Liverpool to develop their practice, supported by a studio and research scholarship.

More information can be found on the British Council Ukraine website. The Liverpool Biennial 2016 will take place from 9 July – 16 October.
