A number of new east photographers have been featured among the winners and finalists of the LensCulture Exposure Awards.
Of particular note are Matej Povse from Slovenia, who has been awarded second place in the Single Image category for his photo Refugees on the Balkan Route, and Ukrainian photographer Maxim Dondyuk, whose photo series Culture of the Confrontation won third place in the Series category.
Among the Series finalists were Dominika Gesicka (Poland, This Is Not Real Life), Hajdu Tamás (Romania, The Patient Files: At the Vet) and Matjaz Krivic (Slovenia, Digging the Future), while Filip Warwick (Ukraine, Ukraine: Front-Line Civilians) was included in the list of Single Image finalists.
These works were selected from projects and single images submitted by photographers from over 120 countries across five continents.
The winners and finalists of the 2015 Exposure Awards will be exhibited at London’s Somerset House during Photo London from 19 – 22 May 2016.
