The Moscow metro is marking International Women’s Day (8 March) with special tickets.
The tickets feature the silhouette of a bunch of pink flowers, as well as a greeting. 500,000 of these limited edition tickets are available.
According to the deputy mayor and head of the Department of Transport, Maksim Liskutov, commemorative tickets have become a Moscow metro tradition.
It was reported earlier that women would receive flowers when travelling on the metro on International Women’s Day and that congratulations would be heard over the intercom in metro stations.
