Baku hosts first ever graffiti festival

The first graffiti festival took place last week in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku.

The festival was held at the Park Bulvar shopping and entertainment centre, and was organised by Park Bulvar together with the Urban Art Azerbaijan community.

Throughout the day the graffiti artists painted the centre’s car park, later presenting their works to be viewed by the public, as well as judged by a panel. The winner of the first graffiti festival was named as artist Ayefes, who hails from the city of Sumgayit and will represent Azerbaijan at the graffiti festival in St. Petersburg.
