Sculpting Time: Andrei Tarkovsky film season opens across the UK

The “Sculpting Time” film season opened at the weekend, bringing the works of Russian filmmaker Andrei Tarkovsky to cinemas across the UK.

The film screenings, which feature digital restorations of Tarkovsky films prepared by Curzon Artificial Eye, are accompanied by a range of newly commissioned posters, trailers, essays and short films, as well as a series of talks and events taking place around the country.

Audiences will be able to view seven Tarkovsky films: Ivan’s Childhood (1962), Andrei Rublev (1966), Solaris (1972), The Mirror (1975), Stalker (1979), Nostalgia (1983) and The Sacrifice (1986).
