Trailer: Georgian doc The Dazzling Light of Sunset

Discover The Dazzling Light of Sunset (2016), the latest work by Georgian filmmaker Salomé Jashi.

This ethnographic film centres on Dariko, the only local television journalist in her small town in Georgia, who rushes between reports to give an honest, if personal, take on the events surrounding her. The subjects of Dariko’s reporting reveal a preoccupation with presentation, a theme which Jashi’s film sensitively explores.

The Dazzling Light of Sunset will be screened as part of London’s Open City Documentary Festival on 22 June. More information can be found here.
