“You’re as beautiful as Bosnia,” declares giant Budapest love letter

A love letter has appeared across two buildings in Budapest – an ode to a beautiful girl, but also to Bosnia!

Two buildings in the centre of the Hungarian capital hosted the large canvasses on which the heartfelt letter was written.

Passers-by were surprised to read not only of a young man’s attempts to get his love back with apologies and promises, but also of his adoration for Bosnia.

“If you forgive me, I want you to know that I’m going to marry you [...] I still want to show you Bosnia, which is beautiful like you,” read the letter.

It turns out that the letter was “sent” by professional mountain climber Jan Przasnek, who was dedicated enough to make sure he got the formal approval of the city authorities for his act of love. Let’s hope his (ex)girlfriend was in town at the right time, as the letter was only allowed to remain for a 24 hours, for a price tag of €20,000 ($22,100).
