Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio is set to provide the voiceover for the English version of a documentary film about Russia’s Lake Baikal.
The 70 million ruble ($1,079,000) environmental project Baikal – the heart of the world is being supported by the Russian Ministry of Culture.
A team of experts from China, the USA and France are currently working on the 3D picture.
According to the film’s producer, Igor Dobrovolskiy, DiCaprio has agreed to narrate the film’s English-language version. It is not yet known who will provide the voiceover for the Russian version.
Leonardo DiCaprio has been in the Russian media spotlight in recent months, due to rumours that he will play Lenin or Putin in upcoming films, but also relating to a Russian Leo lookalike who has shot to internet fame.
