Many people make the trip to Russia’s Golden Ring, a ring of picturesque and historic cities northeast of Moscow — but how many go by skateboard?

Moscow-based skate company Absurd Skateboards takes us on an unusual tour of Vladimir, Suzdal, Ivanovo, Kostroma and Yaroslavl, in a video piece quite different from a conventional skate film.

Taking in the cities’ famed onion domes and monuments, the film invites us to explore life outside of the big city and explore interaction with architecture through skating.
