Gosha Rubchinskiy to take show to Kaliningrad

17 November 2016

Yesterday Russian fashion designer Gosha Rubchinskiy, known for his post-Soviet aesthetic, announced that he would stage his Autumn-Winter 2017 show back in his homeland — this time in the city of Kaliningrad.

It will be the first time Rubchinskiy has taken a show back to Russia since he made his Paris Fashion Week debut in June 2014. The designer previously staged several presentations in Moscow and it will be fascinating to see how this next show takes shape in a very different location — Kaliningrad sits in a Russian exclave of the same name, sandwiched between Poland and Lithuania on the Baltic coast.

Rubchinskiy hit the headlines earlier this week after he met with US hip-hop star Kanye West in Moscow, and reportedly discussed collaborating with West on his Yeezy sneaker and clothing line.
