Russian designer Vasily Klyukin makes “live sculptures”

Russian architectural designer Vasily Klyukin – known for such projects as his cobra-shaped tower – has stepped into the art realm with a series of “live sculptures” of famous figures.

The sculptures of Albert Einstein, Immanuel Kant, and a “Vogue girl” are each made up of 2D interlocking parts that come together to create a 3D form without any adhesive.

Klyukin has made the life and work of each character integral to their structure, with Einstein made up of 64 burnt pages of Theory of relativity, Kant created from 64 pages of Critique of pure reason, and the “Vogue girl” from 32 covers of Vogue.
