Kazan airport becomes race track

23 December 2016

On 21 December Kazan airport — located in Tatarstan, Russia — became the site of one man’s personal Grand Prix, as he broke into the building with his car and proceeded to race (rather carefully) around the terminal.

Former policeman Ruslan Nurtdinov drove around the airport for five minutes, making great effort to edge through open doors and avoid knocking down the New Year tree, before finally being caught by police.

According to a police report, the driver was under the influence of drugs. Pretty impressive skills considering.

The video, which was originally posted to Facebook yesterday, has been viewed over 340,000 times.
