Ukrainian ballet star Sergei Polunin returns to Royal Ballet in June

12 April 2017

Ukrainian ballet dancer Sergei Polunin is set to dance once again at the Royal Ballet in June, having dramatically resigned from the company in 2012.

Polunin will partner Russian ballerina and current Royal Ballet principal dancer Natalia Osipova in Frederick Ashton’s Marguerite and Armand on 5 and 10 June.

This will not be the first time Polunin has returned to the Royal Ballet. 27-year-old Polunin, who at 19 was the youngest ever principal dancer of the Royal Ballet, returned in 2013 to partner Tamara Rojo in another performance of Marguerite and Armand.
