Get a taste of the wild in Latvia

Mad for mushrooms? Foraging fanatic? Peckish nature-lovers can indulge in the best that Latvia’s countryside has to offer this weekend at the Wild Food Festival.

Hundreds of foodies will converge on the village of Zaube in central Latvia this Saturday to celebrate the country’s wealth of natural, wild foods.

Now in its second edition, the festival will feature several themed areas (Forest, Meadow and Water), tastings, workshops, a market, and live music to keep the party going after the sun goes down. Just 80km from Riga, the Wild Food Festival could be a perfect weekend escape from the city.
