Tickets now on sale for Project Polunin at London Coliseum this December

Ukrainian ballet dancer Sergei Polunin is bringing his company, Project Polunin, to the London Coliseum in December. Tickets are now on general sale for the collaborative programme of both fresh and revived work, performed by an international cast that includes Polunin himself.

Produced in collaboration with Gabrielle Tana and David Banks, Project Polunin aims to bring dancers, choreographers, musicians and contemporary artists together to create original dance works.

After leaving the Royal Ballet after two years as its principal dancer — a move that saw him dubbed the “bad boy” of ballet by many — 27-year-old Polunin has become not only a major star in the world of ballet, but also a viral sensation. In 2015 he danced to Hozier’s hit track Take Me to Church in a video shot by American photographer David LaChapelle, which has received close to 21 million views. Earlier this year Polunin was the subject of documentary feature film Dancer, produced by Gabrielle Tana, while later on he will star in the new Kenneth Branagh adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express. Here Polunin will appear along with the likes of Johnny Depp, Daisy Ridley and Penelope Cruz.

Project Polunin will play at the London Coliseum from 5 — 9 December 2017. Full casting and details of the programme will be announced later in the year.
