Pigalev is one of the founders of Fotodelo, a community devoted to promoting analogue photography and developing a new visual language for Russia, exposing the Tumblr generation to the restrained beauty of the country's wide rivers, endless fields and pine forests. "The reason for my interest to Russian landscape is quite straightforward," says Pigalev. "I would like to produce visuals that are as good as foreign ones in terms of quality and content. Anyone can go to the Grand Canyon and take stunning pictures which would get lots of likes. The Russian landscape is just as interesting, but for some reason is never portrayed as well."
