Inspired by crime-fighting school girl heroines of Japanese films, Siren Song from Polish-born video maker Au Matt blends East Asian culture with the Odysseus myth and eastern European landscapes. Shot in Warsaw in collaboration with Antwerp-based designer label BENJI WZW, the glimpses of Soviet-era architecture coupled with the soundtrack of Taiwanese rap create a gritty backdrop for this girl-gang plot against the patriarchy
