Alina Zolotykh (b. 1996, Stary Oskol) is an interdisciplinary artist based in Moscow. A graduate of the HSE Art & Design School, she works with a range of media exploring the emotional aura that spaces and objects gain in contact with a person. Materiality plays an important role in her projects, and matter is inextricably linked with memory. Through the transformation of everyday objects, Zolotykh creates situations in which the speculative nature of human memory and consciousness is exposed.

Loh-Fi Starter Pack, 2021. Close in its meaning to “loser,” Russian slang word “loh” has deeper connotations of not quite belonging to this world. Zolotykh embraces it as a positive term for creatives who do not fit in the post-Soviet social system
