Snuggle up in this dreamy Ukrainian loungewear that’s made to be worn outdoors

1 June 2018

With delicate, flowing lines and feminine cuts, Ukrainian design house Sleeper has already made its mark on the New East fashion set.

Now, the brand is set to unveil its 2018 summer collection in New York department store Barney’s, with a new line that invites shoppers to wear their luxury loungewear out on the street.

Using traditional robes, pyjama sets and nightdresses as inspiration, the linen-based collection includes a dress mini with fluted three-quarter sleeves and a slightly longer dress, with playful puff sleeves a soft elastic band.

Alongside the label’s signature colours — red, pale pink, navy and light blue — the team also worked with Julia Gerasko to create prints for the line.

Founded in 2014 by Kate Zubarieva and Asya Varetsa, fans of the label already include Emily Ratajkowski, Aurora James and Rita Ora.

“We love the idea that leisure clothes are the new casuals,” say brand co-creator Asya Varetsa. “It’s so simple, and at the same time it shows a simple joy for life.”
