Luxury fashion brand Vetements is launching a new programme to support young fashion creatives.
The news was announced by Guram Gvasalia in a panel discussion at WWD’s Apparel & Retail CEO Summit last week. The Georgian fashion executive founded the company with his brother Demna, who left the brand in September, back in 2014, before it rapidly became a fashion staple for the likes of Kanye West.
Gvasalia said that his team “will be like a big brother” to young designers, with a scheme that combines scholarships, talks about the ins-and-outs of the fashion industry, and a co-working space at the brand’s offices.
