Three of Russia’s top streetwear brands are uniting with Sole DXB 2019, a three-day Dubai festival showcasing international street culture fashion, music, and design, to present two limited-edition capsule collections.

Russian label Faces&Laces and Sole DXB created one collection with Liars Collective, and another with DOPECLVBWORLD, a “label-free” community of musicians, artists, and creatives, defying the status quo and putting their own unique twist on the festival’s street culture theme.

Inspired by Jamaican dub music — reggae’s electronic successor — the collection’s philosophy revolves around the idea of echo: both in the music itself, and in the waves that spread Jamaican music across the world.

Spanning clothing, accessories, and ceramics, the collections also have a unique Russian touch. As well as captivating collages blending Jamaican dub references and thought-provoking prints, many items also draw on Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky’s belief that colours can be used to represent music, and vice-versa, with palettes playfully blending whites, oranges, and pinks.

The items will be on sale from 5 to 7 December at Sole DXB 2019.
