Yandex creates popular music data visualisation

Yandex has created a data visualisation of the music most listened to on its free player over the past year, with crooner Stas Mikhaylov topping the list. Other popular musicians include Soviet post-punk bank Kino, Rihanna and Linkin Park. The map uses circles of varying size to depict the artists most listened to; the closer the circles, the more listeners the musicians represented by those circles have in common. Zoom in for a more microscopic examination of Russians’ musical tastes.
