American music icon Cher is the latest fashion-lover to get her hands on a pair of Nike mash-up shoes from Romanian designer Ancuta Sarca.

The singer and pop muse posted a picture of her black and green trainer-heel hybrids on Twitter, alongside the caption: “a gift from España ANCUTA SARCA”

Sarca was inspired to create the eye-catching designs after unearthing a pile of old shoes in her closet while moving house. Her second hand Nike sneakers-cum-kitten heels are both sustainable and sexy, and have been amassing a considerable fan base since landing on Instagram in 2018. Cher’s stylist Marjan Malakpour ordered a personalised pair for the singer earlier this year.

Sarca reacted to Cher’s post on her Instagram page, calling the artist her “forever muse and most inspiring legend.”

Sarca is currently based in London and sells her pieces through Instagram.
