30 September 2020

Georgian fashion label Situationist has dropped its 2021 Spring/Summer collection with unisex garments in bright red, yellow, and green hues.

Released on the online platform of the Paris Fashion Week, the collection follows the brand ethos, drawing from elements of Georgian culture, such as leather craftsmanship, to create casual chic clothes that could be worn anywhere. Featuring long dresses, tuxedo makeovers, structured oversized coats, and a leather overload, Situationists’ Spring/Summer 2021 collection is minimalist, sophisticated, and edgy.

The launch video of the collection, set on the streets of Tbilisi, is a non-staged portrayal of how the public reacts to the collection’s designs. As people in Tbilisi go about their daily lives on busy roads or at the market, the Situationist models crossing them spark surprise and amusement, or remain unnoticed. According to the brand, the film was an experiment to reflect how people’s “perception of novelty and original ideas vary”.

Established in 2016, Tbilisi-based brand Situationist entered the fashion limelight in 2017 after model Bella Hadid wore their coat and boots during Paris Fashion Week.
