The image of the cosmos in contemporary Russian art is the subject of a new exhibition at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art. Are You Ready to Fly will showcase installations, paintings, photos, sculptures and video art from more than 40 eminent Russian artists including Tatiana Badanina, Konstantin Khudyakov and Olga Soldatova to explore the relevance of space travel to Russia today.

Moving from the romantic perception of space in the mid-20th century to the more philosophical stance currently in vogue in Russia, the exhibition maintains that space and the universe continues to be a source of artistic inspiration. The exhibition will run from 9 April to 11 May.
