Pussy Riot’s Nadya Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina have teamed up with members of American electroclash band Le Tigre for an upcoming collaboration track, The Guardian reported today. The two women revealed to NME that their collaboration with Le Tigre’s JD Samson and Johanna Fateman would be for a single track, rather than an album, and will focus mainly the creation of videos.

“Maybe at some point in the future we will do an album, but right now we want to make videos,” Tokolonnikova said.

JD Samson recently shared an image of herself and Fateman with Tolokonnikova and Alyokhina in spending “a night in the studio with my favourite women”.

Following the imprisonment of Pussy Riot in 2012, MEN, a second band in which JD Samson sings, released a song entitled Let Them Out Or Let Me In in support of the women.

Since their release from prison last year, both Tolokonnikova and Alyokina have toured the world appearing in a number of high profile diplomatic and media events. Last weekend, Tokonnikova and Alyokhina appeared at Vice magazine’s 20th anniversary party, performing Le Tigre’s song Deceptacon.
