Winners of “Roskomnadzor hero” cartoon competition announced

Russia’s media watchdog Roskomnadzor has selected the winning entries for an open competition calling for designs for “Roskomnadzor Superheroes”. The competition, which was open for submissions between 30 December and 31 January, invited the public to submit designs for one of four categories; Roskomnadzor hero, anti-hero, heroine and anti-heroine.

Roskomandzor announced the competition on its page on Russian social networking site VK, where it stated that two of the winners would be selected by an “expert jury” made up of Roskomnadzor employees, while the other two would be decided by public vote. Following the close of the competition, Roskomnadzor asked for patience as it “would take time to complete the difficult task of determining which characters are most consistent with the spirit of Roskomnadzor”.
