From 1 to 5 September the Embassies Festival will take place in Bucharest, showcasing the culture and art of nations with diplomatic missions in the city.

A series of events and exhibitions will be held over the four-day period, featuring a wide range of arts and entertainment including dance, music, artisanal art, food, sculpture, fashion and theatre. A main avenue and park in the central area of Bucharest will host traditional culture, while cultural centres across the city will present contemporary aspects, such as digital design. 50 embassies will also open their doors to the public.

Bucharest TIME magazine will also have its launch at the official opening of the festival. The magazine will serve as a resource on the Embassies Life cultural and business network that links the diplomatic missions in the city, and will provide a channel of communication between the diplomatic community of Romania and the general public. The first edition of the magazine will feature the artists, sponsors and partners involved in the festival.

The theme of the festival, “Open Your Culture”, reflects the objectives of cultural cohesion and public discourse that provided the initial motivation for the project.
