Polish-British filmmaker Paweł Pawlikowski, director of 2015 Academy Award-winning Ida, has been named President of the Official Competition Jury at this year’s London Film Festival.
“It is an honour to be Jury President for the BFI London Film Festival this year especially as my last film Ida won the Best Film Award [at the London Film Festival] in 2013 at the very beginning of its journey,” Pawlikowski said.
The Oscar and BAFTA award-winning director will be joined by jurors Christine Vachon, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Kristin Scott Thomas and Mabel Cheung. Earlier this year, Pawlikowski also sat on the main jury at the Venice Film Festival.
The BFI London Film Festival 2015 will take place from 7 to 18 October, at venues across London.
