American boxer Roy Jones Jr, who was recently granted Russian citizenship, is set to release a song about Russia.

According to Russian News Service (Russkaya sluzhba novostei) Mr Jones’ promoter, Vladimir Hryunov, spoke of the boxer’s intention to sing the verses himself and perform the chorus with a female Russian singer. He also revealed that Mr Jones is already working together with Crimea-born singer Elena Maksimova and is soon to receive a Moscow residence permit.

“After an evening of boxing in Venezuela we will return to Russia, and hold a press conference, where Roy Jones Jr will receive a Russian passport. He will be registered in Moscow, including solving the question regarding his housing,” stated Mr Hryunov.

Earlier this month, Mr Jones released a song about Kazakhstan as part of the latest album from Body Head Bangerz, the hip hop group he founded in 2004.
