The Western Balkans regional conference on youth entrepreneurship is taking place today in the Macedonian capital, Skopje.

The conference brings together representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia to discuss regional cooperation in relation to youth entrepreneurship.

Presentations will focus on four subject areas: the role of entrepreneurship in educational reforms, government policies and measures, business incubators and the role of youth networks and organisations. Organised by the British Council, the conference will feature speakers from each of the participating Western Balkan countries and the UK.

The conference forms part of a broader regional project entitled “Encouraging youth entrepreneurship in the Western Balkans”, which aims to influence those in positions of power to empower young entrepreneurs and to strengthen the employability of young people in the region.
