Polish video game wins big at LA awards

Polish video game The Witcher 3 won three prizes at The Game Awards in Los Angeles last night, including the award for Game of the Year.

The fantasy action-adventure game also took home the award for for Best Role-Playing Game, while its creator, Warsaw-based video game developer CD Projekt Red, won the prize for Developer of the Year.

Based on the best-selling book series The Witcher by Polish fantasy author Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher game series follows the story of monster-slayer (“Witcher”) Geralt.
