Moscow’s library of Ukrainian literature is set to shut, according to library director Natalya Sharina’s legal representative.

Lawyer Ivan Pavlov posted on his Facebook page on Monday regarding the closure of the library, citing a “reliable source in the Moscow city government”. He noted that the library would soon be home to a “multi-media centre of eastern Slavic peoples”.

Armed police raided the library in October this year and Ms Sharina was arrested on suspicion of inciting ethnic hatred. She is currently being held under house arrest.
