Georgian film season opens in London

The White Horse Georgian film season opened yesterday in London’s Deptford.

Running from 3 – 17 January, “White Horse: Films from Georgia” brings four Georgian film screenings to Deptford Cinema in east London.

Two films from the Soviet era, Repentance (1987, dir. by Tengiz Abuladze) and The Legend of the Suram Fortress (1985, dir. by Sergei Parajanov Dodo Abashidze), are featured alongside films by contemporary directors Nana Ekvtimishvili and Simon Gross (In Bloom, 2013) and Jason Osborn (Songs of Georgia, 2009).
