Snoop Dogg surprised Romanians after he accidentally geotagged Bogata, a village of 2000 people, on his Instagram last week.

The American rapper, real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr, was in fact en route to Bogotá, the Colombian capital, as part of a tour. The post has accumulated over 43,000 likes and thousands of comments, mostly from Romanians, ironically congratulating him on picking the small village for his tour.

Shortly afterwards, Kinecto, a Bucharest-based creative agency, launched the website visitbogata.com, inviting foreigners to come and visit “the best place for chillin’ in Romania”.

“Snoop Dogg checked into Bogata, Mures, by mistake — but you don’t have to! Find out more on why you should visit,” reads the site.

Snoop Dogg, meanwhile, responded to his invitations to Romania in a post on Saturday. “Shoutout to my romanian fans, tha boss dogg comn thru real soon !!! ‪#visitbogata,” he wrote.
