Online city guide 2GIS has created a map of Moscow’s street art.

A total of 74 pieces of street art feature on the clickable map, with photos and descriptions available for each item. Among the works are portraits of the Second World War general Georgy Zhukov, composer Sergei Rachmaninoff, ballerina Maya Plisetskaya, actor Vladimir Vysotsky and poet Anna Akhmatova.

“It is believed that only vandals paint on the walls. We decided to prove that the opposite is true and created a map with a graffiti layer [...]. Hopefully, the layer will make it possible to look at these works from another angle and tell us a lot about our city,” said company expert Olga Pritchina.

The map can be viewed here (in Russian).
