Temporary architecture installations look to restore neglected locations in Poland

13 June 2016

Temporary and micro-installation specialists NO studio from Wrocław, Poland, have staged an architectural intervention to restore the city’s forgotten spaces.

NO studio’s founding duo Magda Szwajcowska and Michal Majewski have set the project, which forms part of the Lower Silesian Festival of Architecture (DoFA), close to one of the city’s historic bridges.

The installation features a number of half-chairs, half-sunbeds on disused concrete steps, aiming to entice people to sit down and enjoy the view or sunbathe. Simply titled “microinstallations”, the outdoor furniture showcases a minimalistic design and was made on a very small budget.
