A new Russian reality TV show will set out to find an aide for Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.

The programme, to be titled Team, will allow participants “regardless of sex, age and social status” to compete for the role, according to a statement by the Rossiya 1 channel.

“This person will be able to work with Mr Kadyrov and promote the most interesting ideas in this Russian region,” the channel said. As well as acting as an assistant to Mr Kadyrov, the winning candidate will lead Chechnya’s agency of strategic development. Participants will have to prove their negotiation skills and their ability to perform tasks in a timely and organised manner, as well as that they can overcome any obstacle to realise projects together with the Head of the Chechen Republic.

Earlier this year, Mr Kadyrov appealed to his Instagram followers to help him find his missing cat. Perhaps the new assistant will be able to help Mr Kadyrov avoid such mishaps in the future.
