Love wildlife? Love taking photos? To help you bring together these two passions, a special park designed for animal photography and filming is set to open in Moscow in 2017.

The park will be located in New Moscow, an area incorporated into the Russian capital in 2013, according to the head of Moscow’s Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, Anton Kulbachevsky. Russian President Vladimir Putin has also declared 2017 the Year of Ecology in Russia.

“In the Year of Ecology, we plan to launch the first animal photography park, it will be a kind of ‘EcoQuest’ park,” said Mr Kulbachevsky in conversation with M24.ru, noting that the park will be set on the territory of several former hunting grounds.

He added that the area boasts both all the necessary conditions for filming and an abundance of animals, including elk, wild boars, hares and foxes.
