The “Electro Museum at Afisha Picnic” project has launched its open call for artists.

The call is open to artists working with audio, video, audio-video performance and other types of multimedia work. In addition, the artwork can take the form of interactive or static installations or sculptures or, indeed, any other format that the artist feels would suit the festival.

Selected works will be exhibited at the Afisha Picnic festival in a large shipping container and in an outside area where performances will also take place.

The successful artists will be chosen by an expert panel, comprising media artist and member of the Moscow Laptop Cyber Orchestra Oleg Makarov, and media artists and curators from Electro Museum Aristarkh Chernyshev as well as Alexei Shulgin. Applications will be accepted until 11 July.

The Afisha Picnic festival will take place on 30 July at Kolomenskoye, a former tsar’s estate. Performers this year include The Chemical Brothers, Leningrad, Oxxxymiron and Mujuice. More information about the project can be found here (in Russian).
