Other films to be honoured at the festival, which took place on Ukraine's Black Sea Coast, included The Nest of the Turtledove by Taras Tkachenko, which took home the award for Best Ukrainian Film. The festival's Grand Prix award, which is decided by audience voting, went to British director Chanya Button's funereal story Burn Burn Burn.

Now in its 7th edition, the OIFF consisted of a main competition section, a European documentary competition, national competitions for both feature films and shorts, a special Ukrainian retrospective and two sections dedicated to the films enjoying success at recent international festivals. The festival took place from 15–23 July. More information is available on the OIFF official website.
